Fabrication Project Manager

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

Job Overview
Butcher and Swede is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Fabrication Project Manager to guide fabrication and installation projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will estimate potential projects and oversee all aspects of fabrication operations, client communication, install coordination, and deliver projects on time and within scope. Your expertise will drive efficiency, foster collaboration, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. Duties

  • Estimate potential projects from single item one-offs to large scale commercial projects
  • Lead and manage residential and commercial projects, ensuring timely delivery/install while maintaining quality standards
  • Coordinate with clients, designers, architects, builders, and production teams to interpret architectural drawings and design drawings for wood and metal fabrication
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations related to construction site activities, mechanical operations, welding procedures, and equipment handling.
  • Track project progress through detailed documentation such as shift reports, incident logs, and material inventories; communicate updates effectively across teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction or fabrication project oversight within shop or construction environments.
  • Knowledge of fabrication/build techniques in metal and wood working
  • Familiarity with architectural and technical drawings for interpretation and creation
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools a plus
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for project planning and quality control including material take-offs
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members at all levels of the organization.

Woodworker

$21-40/hour based on experience and skill. A proficiency test will be conducted before hiring.

Butcher & Swede is looking for experienced woodworkers to join our team. Our shop has strong leaders to guide and help improve your skills, but we are looking for individuals who will bring previous experience to the table. We are a community of creatives in a collaborative environment, so teamwork is a must. Installer

$25-45/hour based on experience and skill. A proficiency test will be conducted before hiring.

Butcher & Swede is looking for experienced installers who are familiar with cabinet installation, base and case, stair railings, etc. We are looking for responsible and organized individuals who are able to assess a situation and formulate meaningful solutions in tricky situations.
